Does it cost anything to register?
There are no registration fees beyond the minimum fundraising goal of $125
Can I just pay the fundraising minimum?
Yes, but why not ask a few family members and friends to support your ride?
How do I raise funds?
It’s easy, ask five people for a $25 donation or ask your employer if they would sponsor your ride. Many companies offer matching fund opportunities, which can cut your fundraising goal in half. MCBC and NorCal are 501c3 nonprofits, so your contributors can write-off their donations. We have a complete guide, including how to use Facebook and Twitter.
Which route should I choose?
This depends of how much you ride and how technically skilled you are. Visit the About the Ride web page under Ride Info for a description of each ride. Dirt Bowl organizers are here to assist you, contact us if you need help deciding which route is best for you.
Can I do a road ride?
Yes, the Marin Cyclists will be leading a guided road ride and we have a list of popular routes at our Ride Info. Web page. You can also plan your own ride with friends and co-workers.
What are the mountain bike routes like?
The formal mountain bike ride with Dave Wiens is for intermediate riders who are comfortable on narrow single-track trails. Most rides will start at 10:30 am and are about 3-4 hours long. There will be shorter easier options, visit the Ride Info. area for details.
Is there a place to clean up after the ride?
Yes, the golf course clubhouse has locker rooms with showers to clean up after your ride.
What do I do if my ride ends early?
There will be masseuses and other post-ride activities for those who make it back before the game, and don’t forget the BBQ!
